About the farmer’s daughter

It’s true. I’m the farmer’s daughter, born and raised on some of the most beautiful land in West Texas. I’m the fourth generation on the farm and it has a piece of my soul and all the best places in my heart. It’s a piece of me.

I’m a lucky girl with great friends, a supportive family and so, so much for which to be thankful.

I love the sunshine and being outdoors and I’m drawn to people who appreciate the same. I love chocolate, coffee, wine and adrenaline — sometimes all at once. I love to dress up and to dance, and I despise lima beans and people who are cruel to animals. I’m not afraid to get down and dirty, get a little out of hand at a ballgame, to hop a fence, grocery shop in my jammies or jump in mud puddles… but don’t be fooled: I can rock a pretty pink pair of heels any day of the week, I actually look skinny in skinny jeans, and I can pull off white after Labor Day.

Here’s why I blog >>
